At M Communications and M Com Publishing, we are out there networking quite a bit. Recently, at an event I witnessed two major funnies which were also some pretty serious do-not-do’s when attending an event. First, I had someone walk up to me and wish me Happy Anniversary. I thought that was pretty hysterical on several levels and it wasn’t my anniversary. If you don’t know someone, don’t go there. I am the first to admit I get confused at times due to the numbers events and the number of subscribers on the M–Dash. Second, I was sitting at a table and someone asked a woman I was sitting next to if she was speaking. If you do not know who your speaker is and they are volunteering their time, it’s no bueno. My advice? Avoid both of these “no-no’s” at all costs.
