Most entrepreneurs do not understand the value of public speaking. Here is the deal: Do it. You market yourself/your product to a group of people. Easy right? Well, not really – there is some prep work involved if you haven’t played the speaker game before. Here you go:
1. Have a bio, have a paragraph summary with your presentation with bullet point takeaways. Or, have a speaker sheet. The cool thing about having this is you will have a canned presentation at any time.
2. Put this information on your website … yes, major conference promoters will check this out. Oh, have a professional head shot too. This does not mean web cam.
3. Hire a videographer to put a video on your website of you speaking. Make sure you are being taped not at the Elk’s Lodge or anywhere with dead animals in the background.
Anyway, speaking and a professional image = more business for you.
