Signs a Host Needs Radio Interview Help

Who are my guests? Now, I unfortunately was on a show last year under the guise of national radio interview, which was really a ploy to add contacts to her organization. You know it is a bad sign when the host starts the interview not even knowing her guest names. Now, I normally can be pretty politically correct in any situation, but if you seriously f-up on someone’s name, I cannot even contain any restraint so I started laughing. OMG. Radio interview rule number one:  know the names and bios. OMG! What was the host’s response? “Oh, we will just start over and re-record.” Last, the host was so unprepared she literally interviewed me based on the table of contents of my book.

Let me tell you my personal life story. Even worse than the confusion of is this a podcast, webcast, conference call or radio interview? I did have to call back in because I called into what I thought was a conference line. I was then able to listen to the weather report, how people’s cats were doing, and a round table of blah, blah. Then the host keeps delaying the start (are you ready for this?) because she’s driving and needs to get home!
