When is it time to rebrand?

For awhile now, we have been discussing the re brand of M Com Publishing’s parent company, M Communications. Now we brand new companies all of the time when we are working with startup companies, but it is a little harder when you need to look internal and determine if you need to do a re brand on your own business. Below are a couple of factors to consider when you are looking at whether or not you need to re brand your company.

1. Change in economic conditions. Sometimes the change of economic conditions may lead to a change in audience. Specifically, your customers may change and you may need to redirect your business to obtain new customers.

2. Change in leadership. You may have a change in leadership, which may turn your company in a new direction because of a different focus. Does your current brand reflect this new focus?

3. It’s just plain time to refresh. The marketplace is always changing and you may need a refresh if you are still sporting a dated brand identity. Another time to refresh is if you have a couple of companies under one umbrella (this is what we are looking at with M Communications).
